About Us
We host events to help teach women everything we know about hunting. How to pack your backpack, what clothes to wear, how to use a bow or gun, what tactics work for what animal, and hands on gutting and cleaning.
Sarah Poet: Sarah grew up road hunting and the family vacations were camping during deer season. It wasn't until she became an adult that she figured out that hunting took skill, patience, determination and hard work to become successful at it. She looks back now and just laughs at all those wasted years riding around in the truck hoping and praying a deer would just stand there and let her shoot it as she spent many days driving around in the truck. In her adult years, she has become a successful black tail deer hunter and teaches her two young boys what skills are needed and how to assist in the family success. When she is not hunting, dreaming about hunting or planning a hunt, she works as a Deputy Fire Marshal in a large metropolitan department in addition to raising two young boys as a single mom. |
Brenda Ross: Brenda grew up in a hunting family. As a kid her dad had her "pushing the brush" during deer season. A tour in the Navy, getting married, and having children kept her busy for a few years. Finally, she was back "pushing the brush" during elk season when one of her girl friends had the "any bull tag". That was all it took to re-ignite a passion for hunting and she has not missed a season since. Brenda loves archery hunting, specifically archery elk in the Starkey Unit of Eastern Oregon. |
